Akintunde Ahmad is a multimedia journalist who specializes in covering Black culture, racial disparities, criminal justice and resilience. He graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and from Columbia University with a master’s in documentary film. He has written for The Atlantic, Columbia Journalism Review, The Appeal, MindSite News and other outlets. He has also designed his own clothing line and is currently a journalist-in-residence at Policy Link. He divides his time between Los Angeles and his hometown of Oakland, California.
